Bed & Breakfast on the Isle of Skye
Peinmore House was built in the 19th Century originally as a Church of Scotland manse and passed into private ownership in the 1930's. Set in 2 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Portree, it enjoys panoramic views of the Cullins to the South, Storr Rocks, The Old Man of Storr and Portree Bay to the North and Ben Tianavaig to the East.
Don and Margaret Greer bought Peinmore House in 2007 when it had been run as a bed and breakfast for a few months. Since moving to Skye they have developed the business, upgrading the rooms and further developing the gardens.
Don and Margaret moved from Norfolk where they ran a Fine Art Gallery for 30 years, also in the later years running a pub which, when they took it over served basic pub grub. Within 18 months it had been awarded 2 rosettes by the AA followed, in their third year by another award - AA Pub of the Year for England. Food and giving excellent service is Don and Margaret's prime aim.
Peinmore House also offers luxury self catering accommodation on the Isle of Skye. A new website will be launched very soon.
Please browse the website using the links at the top right of the webpage and contact Don and Margaret regarding any aspect of bed and breakfast at Peinmore House. Thank you.
